‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Nigel Lythgoe goes for laughs for National Dance Day

SYTYCDIn case you have not heard yet, this year’s edition of National Dance Day is on July 27, and to get you a little bit more excited for the occasion, “So You Think You Can Dance” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe is going a little bit above and beyond the call of duty. How much so? Let’s just say that you should prepare to laugh just as much as you are inspired to get out in dance.

The first video that you can see below is a random (but hilarious) Funny or Die video that features Nigel and his occasional fellow judge Adam Shankman going through the movements in “So You Think You Can Prance.” The only thing more questionable than some of the movements shown off in here are the white pants that both Nigel and Adam are seen strutting around in. (Just form a mental picture of this every time that you see these two behind a panel now.)

Meanwhile, the other video below is a more serious way in which you can celebrate National Dance Day, and that is by learning a basic routine that most people should be able to do without too much trouble. If you’ve never danced before, know this: There’s nothing more impressive than going up to someone you want to impress and proving that you got moves, even if they are basic ones.
