‘White Collar’ season 5 spoilers: How Annet Mahendru, Matt Bomer will team up

If you remember back to earlier this week, then you will recall the piece of “White Collar” scoop about a certain star of “The Americans” in Annet Mahendru joining the show, where she would play an interesting role as a Russian figure-skater who ends up assisting in a case somehow.

Now, we’ve finally been able to scourge up some more information on this subject. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Mahendru’s character is going to assist Tim DeKay’s Peter and Matt Bomer’s Neal in order to take down her boyfriend, who we are guessing is not going to win any awards for playing a nice guy. What’s the twist? The way in which she has to help the two characters out is probably not going to be something that she really imagined herself doing, and it will be a real test to her patience as well as to her comfort level.

Considering that Mahendru has already been promoted to a series regular on “The Americans” season 2, it is probably fair to say right now that this gig is probably just going to be for a single episode. However, it will still be interesting to see if her character makes enough of an impression that she will be invited back at some point. There’s going to be quite a bit of waiting regardless until this episode is seen, as “White Collar” will not be back on USA with new episodes until the fall.
