‘The X Factor’ USA / UK notes: Emblem3, Carly Rose Sonenclar, Jahmene Douglas
We’re still reeling from the excitement of Fifth Harmony’s “Miss Movin’ On” release last night on “Saturday Night Online” (otherwise known as the longest time that we’ve ever listened to the radio in at least six months), but we’re not the only ones wishing the ladies luck on the song. To kick off this Sunday “X Factor” notes, we thought it appropriate to share one message from one of their fellow former contestants from this past season.
In a post on Twitter, here is what Carly Rose Sonenclar had to say about wishing the ladies well on their new song:
“Just walked out of dinner and Impossible was playing, and then to think Fifth Harmony’s single is coming out tonight! Love you girls!”
Now, other music – If you love Emblem3 and Macklemore / Ryan Lewis, the following performance of “Can’t Hold Us” is right up your alley. It’s a pretty nice cover given that there’s plenty of originality showed in here, the initial hook is still intact, and the lyrics are augmented to represent what the group is trying to do.
Emblem3’s single “Chloe (You’re the One I Want)” is still slowly making its way up the charts, and while it hasn’t necessarily shot off to the stratosphere yet, Simon Cowell has done a good job getting them on the radio, and even booking them that performance on “Good Morning America” recently.
Jahmene Douglas’ new video – Want to see Jahmene Douglas’ new music video? Unfortunately, Vevo has blocked it in certain countries (possibly due to an American launch a little bit later). So instead if you want to watch his take on the Sia / David Guetta hit “Titanium” and you’re in the United Kingdom, you can see if over at the link here.
Let’s bookend this article again with Fifth Harmony since we are super stoked on their new song. If you missed the debut of “Miss Movin’ On” last night, you can check out the song over at the link here.
