‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Early writers room adventures
For those of you who are just as intrigued about the world of television production as you are about the shows themselves, this story is for you as the writing process for “Once Upon a Time” season 3 is in full force! We have a few months until the premiere, but the challenge for Adam Horowitz, Edward Kitsis, and their staff is to get episodes broken, drafts created, and scripts ready so that when the cast does arrive, they already have something to work from.
So what do we have to share today? The first clue from the season premiere: “Our heroes argue.” In an image of the board (which is used to break down the story) shared by Horowitz, these three words were the only thing sprawled across it. So why share this now? The simple answer is that it’s much easier to share the board now, since nobody is going to be handing out any images of it when there are some big spoilers written across it.
Filming for the new season will start up at some point next month in Vancouver and while some series reveal the start date, others do not in order to ensure that the set retains a certain amount of secrecy. For shows that have outdoor locations, this is especially important to keep fanboys and fangirls from showing up with cameras and scooping the show by accident. We’re stoked, and will have more scoop coming up pretty soon.
The writers are still in the process of getting down many of the ideas onto the board for the third season, but if you want to see some early scoop on the future of a few actors (see Jamie Chung and Sarah Bolger) who are about to get rather busy courtesy of new pilots, be sure to visit the link here.
