‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: Aimee Garcia teases surprising side of Jamie

Did you think that you had seen every side to some of these “Dexter” characters? Think again. As we near the end of the Showtime drama, some people are going to show off some new sides and some new colors … even people that you would generally perceive as innocent.

With that in mind, the following bit of scoop is all about a popular character in Jamie Batista, whose biggest criticism thus far has been merely that she seems to be in a near-constant state of innocence, and remains completely unaware of what Dexter is doing around her. Is this going to change soon? Maybe, but series star Aimee Garcia (who is now a series regular for the first time) had the following to say in an interview with TV Fanatic:

“The scripts have more curveballs than I’ve ever read… and we’ll see another side of Jamie. Things progress. Things happen.”

One other thing that we are interested in seeing now is whether or not there is going to be any sort of new-found tension involving Jamie and Quinn, as there appeared to be some sort of romantic sparks near the end of last season. Will this continue moving into the new year? That is also something that we are looking forward to seeing pretty soon. (The new season of “Dexter,” after all, premieres in just two weeks from Sunday.)
