‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Updates on writing process, Felicity Smoak
There’s not too much breaking right now when it comes to “Arrow” season 2, but doesn’t it at least make you smile to know that the writers are already hard at work crafting some new scripts? We like to think so.
Some recent posts from the writers room on Twitter have confirmed that there is some serious work under way on the new season, as they have quite a bit to accomplish in a pretty limited amount of time. Production on the new season kicks off relatively soon (at least in that it starts next month), and there are still at least 22 episodes that need to be created over the course of the months ahead. The goal is obviously to be in good shape with some scripts for early episodes when production starts, that way production is not sitting around and waiting for the writing process to be over.
In other news, we also have a new behind-the-scenes photo of Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) that was recently sent out by The CW. We don’t know when exactly this photo was taken, but it’s yet another reminder that Felicity is going to have a much larger role on the series moving forward. The actress was promoted to series regular earlier this year, following what can be best referred to as overwhelming support from the show’s fan-base. (Heck, we think there’s probably just as many people out there who want her to be with Oliver Queen as there are Laurel fans.)
