‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: Returning guest star speculation

Who doesn’t want to see a face or two from the past turn up again on “Sons of Anarchy” season 6? So long as the right context is there, it’s always nice to have a return visit. (Oh, and Kurt Sutter would only bring back someone if the right context is there.)

The person that we are talking about in this article is someone that has been discussed as a possibility really ever since his first appearance on the show: Walton Goggins as Venus. The “Justified” star made an extremely memorable appearance on the show last season as the transgender character, and following the cameo, he suggested then that it may not be the last you see of her.

While nothing is anywhere near confirmed yet, we may be inching closer to seeing another guest spot coming on soon. During his Twitter Q&A session with fans Tuesday night, Sutter responded with the following to a question about whether or not the character would be back:

“i’ve been checking venus’s availability… never know…”

Cryptic, no? There’s almost a part of us that hopes that this is the last we hear about the character possibly showing up, and then it just happens at one point during an episode and you’re blown away. Part of the joy about the cameo the first time around was that it was so unexpected, and Goggins was so committed to the part you had to do a few double-takes to even realize it was him … even if you have seen every episode of “Justified.”
