‘The Bachelorette’ reflection: Desiree Hartsock talks Brooks Forester injury

BrooksWe’ve already spent quite a bit of time over the past week talking about a lot of the drama, so why not focus on something else for at least a little while? For this reason, we’re going to shift our focus for at least a few minutes on another interesting moment from the episode: Brooks Forester getting injured during the dodgeball date.

When we saw this date, we immediately suspected that someone was going to be in danger of hurting themselves in the midst of what was a bunch of guys fighting for love / air time. So did Desiree feel the same? Not entirely, at least not based on what she wrote in her People Magazine blog:

“As I was watching the competition unfold I could see the faces of fury and the goal to win in each of their eyes, but I did not expect anyone to get hurt. Brooks and I had an incredible date the week before so I already felt connected to him, which made it even harder to watch him in pain. I was disappointed that he had gotten hurt and had to go to the hospital. But I had a lot of great men on this date that I needed to focus on.”

Brooks is just one of the many frontrunners on the show right now, as the likes of Bryden Vukasin, Drew Kenney, Ben Scott, and more have made an impression on her.

Did you feel for Brooks in this moment, and do you think that in some bizarre way, this could help him on the show? Did you expect Desiree to go to the hospital with Brooks instead of continuing on with the dodgeball game and group date afterwards?
