‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: Take a dive into Toby’s past

Have you been waiting to find out something more on “Pretty Little Liars” when it comes to Toby? If so, have no fear. There are going to finally be at least a few things coming up when it comes to the character’s past, though there may also still be something more left to the imagination.

Want to know more on that? Speaking in a chat with The Hollywood Reporter, executive producer Marlene King teases that one particular moment during the June 11 premiere should help to open the door a little bit about who this character really is, and also why he is the guy that so few people now have a difficult time trusting:

“There’s a flashback scene in the premiere with Toby’s mom, Marion Cavanaugh, and we find out a little bit more about her. It becomes a mystery ride that we go on all throughout season 4A. [Toby’s past] is surprising and emotional, in addition to it being a mystery story. It’s emotional for that character and we get to see layers of Toby that we haven’t seen before.”

As any fan of “Pretty Little Liars” will know, finding out more about Toby is really just the tip of the iceberg, given that there are still so many more things that we are waiting to have answered. For example, there’s the issue of Wilden’s car, the three-person alliance of Melissa, Shana, and Jenna, and of course the key question as to whether or not Red Coat is a real person … and if so, how much they should be feared.
