‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4 spoilers: Ashley Benson talks trusting … Mona?

Is it possible that Mona on “Pretty Little Liars” season 4 can really be trusted again? When it comes to reputation, she doesn’t have very much going for her. After all, there’s the whole issue of trying to kill the Liars, betraying her best friend, and also torturing the girls via text messages over the course of two solid seasons.

However, some changes to the story have put her in a much more vulnerable position. Red Coat is on the loose, and she now has more motivation than ever to try to get to the bottom of this, but she’ll need help from the likes of Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily.

So will the five ladies team up? Probably, but Ashley Benson tells “Entertainment Tonight” in a new interview that Hanna is still going to keep one eye open almost the entire show in order to ensure that nothing terrible transpires for her in the future:

“Hanna wants to trust her, but it’s tough. Mona was her best friend, but she put Hanna through hell. She tries to tell the other girls good things about Mona and how she can help, but at the same time Hanna herself is doubting it. So, she’ll be nice to Mona because she needs to get information out of her, but, at the end of the day, Hanna doesn’t want her in the group.”
