‘Britain’s Got Talent’ final results: Was Attraction Shadow Theater or Arisxandra the winner?
As we’ve reported a few times earlier in our performance show review, “Britain’s Got Talent” closed things off on a pretty crazy note tonight. There were great performances, disappointing performances, and even a woman rushing on stage to try and hit Simon Cowell with an egg. (As we predicted, that video went viral in about three seconds.)
But who would end up winning? We really did not know. While it’s never safe to rule out a singer, the two acts we felt the strongest about going into the closing seconds of this episode were Attraction Shadow Theater, which closed the show with a pretty moving tribute to Great Britain as a thank-you for allowing them to compete, and young comedian Jack Carroll. We thought that most of the singers would cancel each other out, and Pre Skool went too early in the show to really be viewed as competition for much of anything.
As expected, the series did take its time in getting us to the final results. We had performances from Psy and Taylor Swift (alongside Ed Sheeran), and also the typical sappy montage that somehow makes us realize how much we’re going to miss this loony bin when it’s gone. (How will we get more of David Walliams now?)
Our top three of the night was Jack Carroll, Attraction, and in a bit of a surprise, Richard & Adam. Did the egg-thrower give them a little bit of sympathy? It’s possible. They ended up in third place, but the winner was … Attraction! They narrowly beat out Jack in taking the title, and they are deserving. Would we have voted for Jack? Probably, but Attraction went with a very pro-British performance, and they also performed last. We actually think finishing second could motivate Jack in the future, as well, given that it could give him more self-deprecating material for his act.
What did you think about the “Britain’s Got Talent” finale, and do you think that the right person won? If you want to check out our full review of tonight’s show, you can do so over here.

you just put into words what I felt tonight. If nothing else, this show gives my husband and I an opportunity to bond with our 12 year old daughter and 10 year old son. We feel sad, happy, appreciative and confused. We also talk about motivation and talent and gifts and the value of a blinking good Saturday night. Jack and Attraction were both humbling and moving.
