‘Falling Skies’ season 3 spoilers: Tom’s new challenge will be…

Have you been eagerly awaiting the return of “Falling Skies” to TNT? You’re surely not alone, and the wait is finally almost over. Sunday night marks the return of the show for season 3, and it will hopefully be one that starts to set the balance to a certain degree. This is a series that has had two outstanding finales thus far, and feels almost like it spends the rest of its time trying to get from point A to point B with mixed results.

Hopefully, the series is going to find a way to hit the ground running early in the new season, and one way the writers are hoping to do that is by having a huge storyline early when it comes to Tom and Anne’s baby. According to TV Guide, the arrival of this child is going to create all sorts of interesting issues, with the primary one being that this addition is going to throw both of them for a surprising loop.

What does this mean? We know that there are many different interpretations, but sadly this is all we know for now. It could mean that the baby merely has a string of health problems, or it’s some sort of freaky half-alien child with psychic powers. This is hardly the first time that there has been speculation about a child born in unusual circumstances: Just look at what happened on “Lost,” or what almost happened on “True Blood.”
