‘The Good Wife’ season 5 spoilers: Producers want Matthew Perry back

The Good WifeThe bad news for Matthew Perry is that due to the end of “Go On,” he no longer has a full-time job. However, the good news that we have to share now is that we are potentially going to be seeing much more of him on “The Good Wife” season 5, at least so long as he is open to the idea.

Speaking as a part of a new interview with TVLine, executive producer Robert King explained that first of all, he would love to have Perry back for as much as he is available to do. Not only that, but he also added that thanks to the ballot-counting controversy that resulted in a win for Peter, there is something very substantial that Mike Kresteva would have to do if he was to come back for more:

“There are too many options there. What’s lovely about the [Kresteva] character is I recognize him in [real] life — the person who lies with such conviction that he convinces everybody, even the person who knows they’re being lied about. And yet, he has a [legitimate] issue [now], which is there was vote corruption.”

“The Good Wife” is probably at the point right now where the writers are at least starting to think about storylines for the new year, but they still have a little while to figure out their casting and production of their scripts. Filming will not start until around the middle of July, at least if it runs a schedule similar to what we’ve seen with so many other shows over the past few years.
