NBC’s ‘The Voice’ top 8 results: Were Judith Hill, Sarah Simmons, Holly Tucker safe?
With the lineup on “The Voice” really starting to be narrowed down, this is the point where admittedly, some really good people can end up going home. There are only eight contestants left, and next week, there will only be two. Basically, the finale is a stone’s throw away, and less than half of the contestants on this season are going to make it there.
We have to start out with the obvious: Of course Michelle Chamuel and Danielle Bradbery were safe. These two have consistently stayed around the top when it comes to iTunes sales almost all season long, and this means that they are probably locks to make it to the finale next month.
There was a little bit more in the way of wiggle room among the rest of the remaining contestants, but if we are honest, we must admit that the only three that we felt were in serious jeopardy going into this were Holly Tucker, Judith Hill, and Sasha Allen. Specifically, the latter seemed a lock to leave, given that her song was ranked at the bottom of the iTunes sales chart which is a pretty good indicator of who goes home.
However, Sasha has fans! Even though they did not buy her single, they kept her safe for another week. The final four were Judith, Sarah Simmons, Amber Carrington, and Holly. The good news was for Blake Shelton’s team, as he got to (yet again) keep every member of his team until the top 6. Meanwhile, Adam is stripped of two of his team members in Judith (considered to be a favorite earlier this season) and also Sarah. Now, he’s just left with Amber. A pretty shocking end to the night, and one that we don’t fully agree with.

Sarah’s voice is unique and she should not have been illuminated. Judith is a working professional and I don,t feel she should have even been on the show for that reason. With that said, Judith’s voice cannot stand in the shadow of Sasha’s. Sasha is by far the best singer on the show. With Danielle coming in next she is amazing in a few years will be a star with a very mature voice. No way should the Swan bros. Still be in com

Don’t you feel Sasha is too much of a Broadway singer? Really do think it’s going to be Danielle or Michelle winning the Voice this season.
I think Holly Tucker should have been eliminated instead of Judith/Sarah. Holly is good, but she pales in comparison to the others.

I don’t get you America. How does Judith Hill get voted out after giving her best performance. Her performance was absolutely genius. You can’t tell me Danielle Bradberry was in any way better. Last season it was Amanda Brown and Trevin eliminated yet Cassadee won. I just don’t get it. No wonder the Voice hasn’t found a star yet or even someone that can have even half-decent post show sales

I found Sarah’s elimination the greater surprise. iTunes charting and other factors suggested that Judith’s weeks were numbered — but I didn’t expect her to go this week. I thought Sarah would be around for a while. Definitely, the ‘Double Elle Final’ (Danielle and Michelle) is looking more and more likely.

Holly did a fantastic job and I’m so glad that she is still in it!

Judith was the very best! no other could top her abilities as a singer and performer! I truly don’t get the voters! I wont watch the voice anymore, cause Judith was the only on who made it interesting to watch!

When I saw the results on TV I nearly threw up. I was so disgusted. Judith is the best thing to ever happen to this show.
