‘Game of Thrones’ season 3, episode 9 preview: What to expect in ‘The Rains of Castamere’

You’ve waited nearly two full weeks now for the next “Game of Thrones” season 3 episode to air, but don’t worry, all of this waiting is almost finally at an end. “The Rains of Castamere” is going to be a game-changer to say the least, and one that you’re going to want to talk about with your friends. Take heed to these words: Watch it live, and if you don’t watch it live, stay off of Twitter. Remember that episode “nine” has been pretty significant when it comes to this show, and this is going to be yet another one, for those of you who have been lucky enough to remain unspoiled.

We’ll start here by sharing the official synopsis, largely because it reveals just as much as walking around Beyond the Wall in a blizzard:

“Robb presents himself to Walder Frey, and Edmure meets his bride. Jon faces his harshest test yet. Bran discovers a new gift. Daario and Jorah debate how to take Yunkai. House Frey joins with House Tully.”

We want to be careful of how much more to say here, so let’s just put it this way: By the time this episode ends, the political and social landscape of Westeros will have changed in a pretty significant way. Not only that, but the stage is going to be set for an epic finale that will carry over to a fourth season where plenty of other big events take place.
