‘Bates Motel’ season 2 spoilers: Get ready for more Bates family madness

When “Bates Motel” season 2 does pick up on A&E next year, be prepared to see something that goes beyond just the first season when it comes to insanity. There will be stunning revelations, and we are also going to see so much more from the Bates family as a whole than anything we have so far.

For more information on this, why don’t we turn to someone who surely knows a thing or two already about what is coming up? Speaking in a new interview with TV Guide, Carlton Cuse teased the following about having some more Bates family members move in and create even more drama in the new year:

“We would be remiss if we didn’t meet some other members of the Bates family … I don’t want to say who, but we are definitely going to learn about their family tree, which has more twisty branches.”

In what may also come as a little bit of a surprise, one of the stories that we are getting set to see come up on the second season involves romance! Cuse would not comment on who the romantic partner would be here, but did say that the character is not someone that we have met on the show yet. Meanwhile, Vera Farmiga added the following about why this new character is so important to easing the creepiness that is there between her and Freddie Highmore’s character:

“She sure needs it. Her neediness gives her an urgent desire to touch and kiss Norman, and that need should probably be filled by someone other than her son.”
