AMC’s ‘The Killing’ season 3: Many new reasons to watch (video)
If you watched the first two seasons of “The Killing,” we’re almost sure that you are going to love the third based on the video below. As a matter of fact, you may enjoy it even if you have no idea what this series is about.
The purpose of this clip is to feature, courtesy of creator Veena Sud and some stars including Joel Kinnaman, just what the story is going to be this time around. We are going to see a darker, seedier side of Seattle, and one where a missing person does not always end up being someone that the public really shows a willingness to care about. As a matter of fact, these are often the people that are forgotten about, and they can go missing for months at a time without a single thought from anyone other than the detectives working the case. Meanwhile, you’re also going to get the opportunity to see inside the harrowing world of death row. This is not a show for the faint of heart, let’s just put it that way.
At the end of the day, this series is really in a rather interesting place creatively. Thanks to the backlash and some of the negativity surrounding season 2, even though some of it had nothing to do with the story at all, Sud perhaps gets the opportunity to enter production this time around feeling a little more relaxed. There is no sort of pressure to deliver something worthy of a massive cliffhanger, especially since at one point, this season was not even supposed to happen.
This really feels like “The Killing” could be the surprise of the summer, even if we won’t know anything for sure until June 2 rolls around and AMC has it back on the air.
