‘Game of Thrones’ season 3, episode 8 preview: What has Tyrion Lannister unhappy?
With there only being three episodes left now on “Game of Thrones” season 3, the show truly has its work cut out for it in trying to pack in some very dense storytelling, while at the same time reach some sort of conclusion that will be enough to satisfy the fans until the show returns in the spring of next year. Not so easy a thing to do right? The only thing that we can potentially imagine being more challenging at the moment is trying to manage being the treasurer of a debt-stricken kingdom with marrying someone that you don’t love while the woman you do love looks on with devastation.
Well, Tyrion Lannister surely knows quite a bit about both right now, which is why he may look as unhappy as he does in one of the first photos attached here from Sunday night’s new episode “Second Sons.” He’s got his best coat a la attending a “Downton Abbey” party.
Meanwhile, the second photo that we have is the visual equivalent of Tywin Lannister telling him to eat his vegetables. This is the sort of relationship that Charles Dance’s character has managed to have with everyone in King’s Landing as of late, including the supposed king himself in Joffrey. You just don’t mess with the man, since otherwise you are met with some pretty nasty / cold stares. If Tyrion is going to find a way to keep himself from marrying Sansa, he will have to do some quick thinking.
We’ll be back for a more comprehensive preview on Saturday, including some more things that Tyrion can do in order to save himself. For now, though, be sure to check out the story here, where we do our best to find out details about the early stages of season 4 production.
