‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3 spoilers: Michael Raynomd-James in, Meghan Ory out
Just in case you were even remotely worried about the future of Neal Cassidy on “Once Upon a Time,” here’s some welcome news: Stop worrying now.
As TVLine first reported from the ABC upfront presentation this afternoon, Michael Raymond-James, who plays Henry’s father, Baelfire, and all-around awesome man of mystery, will be a series regular for the entire third season. The man woke up in the finale trapped in the same world as Mulan and Aurora, but still separated from everyone that he cares about after Tamara shot him and thrust his character through a portal.
Now that we know for sure that Raymond-James (who we will forever know for both “True Blood” and the so-good-you-must-watch-it “Terriers”) will be back in action, there is only one question that remains when it comes to his storyline: What about Mulan? Jamie Chung has a new pilot in “Believe” over on NBC that was picked up to series, meaning that she is either going to have to be very creative when it comes to filming, or she is not going to be around much of the time.
“Once Upon a Time” is for sure losing one series regular, as Meghan Ory (Red) has signed on to star in “Intelligence,” which was picked up by CBS. She tells TV Guide that she started looking elsewhere after the story changed and her role was reduced, and ABC gave her a blessing to take on this new role. She’s still open to future gigs, but it will probably not happen for a while given that both shows have jam-packed schedules.
There are some more changes coming up for “Once Upon a Time.” Wanna know more? Take a look at what ABC is currently planning when it comes to the show’s schedule.
