‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 23 preview: Marshall and Lily prepare

While we know that much of the final two episodes of “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 are going to by and large revolve around the upcoming wedding of Barney and Robin, it is nice to see a little bit of a diversion from time to time, right? With that in mind, we turn to a story that is all about characters played by Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel.

As you remember from “Romeward Bound,” which was the new episode of the show airing earlier this year, Marshall and Lily have a pretty critical decision on their hands. They can move to Italy for a year and try out a brand-new life experience, or stay more firmly rooted in what is their established “comfort zone.” So which way will they go? Based on what they said previously, they are moving , but they may need a little bit of help first.

The sneak peek below showcases perfectly the two parties deep within the planning process, which includes trying to figure out what stays in New York City, and what ends up making the trip with them. They attempt to get a little help from someone in Ted as they try to solve this mystery to end all, mysteries, but he does not appear too receptive to helping them so much as just keeping things that he has an emotional attachment to.
