‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: An assortment of new faces
We recently posted about some new characters that were set to be cast during the upcoming season 3 premiere of “Homeland,” and now we have a few more details to go along with it.
According to a new report from E! News, it feels almost like the show is casting some sort of support group. A heap of troubled young adults is currently being brought into the fold, and one of them is going to be particularly adept at charming the ladies. Could this be the beginnings of a Dana storyline? It’s possible. There could be some sort of a time jump between seasons 2 and 3, and in that time Dana Brody could have started to grow up a little bit more. However, even if she does, there is sure to be plenty of emotional scarring still left over following everything that she went through when it came to believing in her father, only for everyone else to label him a terrorist.
Of course, we’re sure that the question for many here may be why in the world we are still focusing on the Brody family at all. Prior to the finale, there seemed to be two separate camps of people: Those who were particularly interested in “Homeland” largely due to the Brody story, and then those who wanted to see Carrie and the other characters move on now that the Abu Nazir case is seemingly over. At the end of the day, it feels like the season 3 story is falling somewhere in the middle. While Carrie will have a new mission, Brody is still out there and the writers are doing everything that they can in order to ensure that we do not forget about him.
What do you think about this casting news? “Homeland” season 3 premieres on Showtime September 29, and you can check out the title of the first episode over at the link here.
