NBC’s ‘The Voice’ rankings: Karina Iglesias, Sasha Allen are Shakira’s ones to beat

Out of all of the coaches on “The Voice” this season, Shakira certainly has the most curious team at the moment. Why? Out of the four artists that she has remaining, two of them were actually brilliant singers from other teams that she stole. This is the first time ever that a coach has entered the live rounds with half of their team being stolen artists, and at least one of them is bound to be in the top 12.

What makes this list even more ironic is that we’re pretty convinced that these artists are actually the best ones on the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer’s entire team. She has a challenge of finding a way to succeed in a brand-new environment, but if there is one thing that is somewhat emblematic of her career, it is finding a way to broaden her horizons and do things that other artists can only dream of.

4. Kris Thomas – Kris has a pretty fantastic falsetto, but can he really compete with the other three singers on this team? What we worry about with him is that there are similar singers in his vein on other teams, and they are probably destined to compare.

3. Garrett Gardner – Despite being a returning contestant to the show, we really don’t know as much about Garrett as we would otherwise like. We know that he has a good rock voice, but needs that sort of killer performance like the other two had in order to make it all the way.

2. Karina Iglesias – The biggest problem that Karina has faced thus far is simply going up against Judith Hill. She’s still an awesome rock singer with a range that will make most professionals shake in their boots, and she has received enough screen time to be memorable with fans.

1. Sasha Allen – Sasha, like Karina, is simple phenomenal, and we imagine that Shakira is going to have a field day realizing just how this woman can literally sing anything, regardless of genre or era. Right now, we see this show as a three-woman race, with Sasha going up against Judith and Sarah Simmons.
