‘Homeland’ season 3 spoilers: Who’s set to have an emotional story?
Want scoop on “Homeland” season 3? Get in line. Despite filming for the upcoming 12 episodes starting in a matter of weeks, this remains a show so secretive, it almost rivals “Mad Men.” There has been no formal casting news announced, no word on the scripts, and really no indication at all as to what the role of Nicholas Brody is going to be following his move to flee the country in the finale.
What we can report is that despite his character no longer being a part of what Carrie and the CIA are up to, the Brody family is still going to have an important role to play. Speaking to E! News at the White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend, Morena Baccarin claims that we are going to specifically see both her and her daughter Dana deal with a pretty emotional storyline moving forward. Specifically, there will be “crying” … which doesn’t say too much, but crying is never good.
What has to be a particularly interesting issue for Dana to deal with is that she was really one of the few people who was starting to believe her father just before the terrorist attack that made him a target of the government. So to see the video and be told what you believe isn’t true has to be pretty devastating, and it will be interesting to see where her mind is at when the new season comes back, and how she tries to go about her life now. It’s hard enough when your father is a Congressman; however, having your father be a suspected terrorist has to be a million times worse.
