‘New Girl’ season 2 finale spoilers: Official details on Cece’s wedding

Just based on the fact that we absolutely love “New Girl,” we have no problem whatsoever with the show running a little bit longer than the average comedy. While most series have a tendency to end in 22-24 episodes, Zooey Deschanel and company have 25. Yep, that’s how awesome they are.

The upcoming May 14 episode is entitled “Elaine’s Big Day,” and we know already that it is going to feature a guest-starring appearance by Taylor Swift in the role mentioned in the title. Unfortunately, what is much more unclear is whether or not Cece is actually going to be able to pull off the ceremony, or if some feelings that she has for anyone else are going to get in the way.  Be sure to check out the official synopsis below via Fox:

“Cece’s wedding day finds Jess and Nick making a decision about their relationship. Meanwhile, Schmidt schemes with a typically overenthusiastic Winston to sabotage the nuptials, although a shocking announcement may be bigger than anything he plans.”

The only thing that we don’t like about this finale is simply that it starts a little bit earlier than the average episode: At 8:58 p.m. Eastern. This is something “New Girl” is doing for a couple of its upcoming episodes, and it’s unfortunate to anyone who is watching a program that runs 8-9. We do like getting a few extra minutes, but this move seems to cater largely to viewers who have DVR machines.
