‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 6 finale spoilers: Does Raj go too far?
In talking about the season 6 finale for “The Big Bang Theory” over the past several weeks, we have done so mostly through the lens of a story about Leonard considering a new job offer overseas. However, this is not going to be the only potentially game-changing decision that has to be made during the May 16 episode, which has the official title of “The Bon Voyage Reaction.”
CBS released the following official synopsis for the episode today, and it promises in particular some major developments in the Raj story, in particular when it comes to the idea that he may have tried a little too hard to win his new love interest Lucy over:
“A new success for Leonard makes Sheldon very jealous and throws Penny for a loop. Meanwhile, Koothrappali pushes Lucy too far in their relationship.”
We know that Lucy suffers from some serious social anxiety issues, and so it makes you beg the question as to how he managed to make her so uncomfortable that she may start to wonder whether or not this is right for her. Did he try to shove her all-in for a social situation before she is ready? What has really remained interesting about this story is that there has not been a single word of reassurance that Kate Micucci will be back for more episodes next year. This is surely a deliberate move in order to cause speculation among fans, and it’s possible that the writers may not have a firm answer to it just yet. After all, they have all summer to try and figure out whether or not this relationship is something worth pursuing for Raj, or if this is better off being a learning experience for him.
Do you think we are going to see Lucy last beyond the end of “The Big Bang Theory” this season? If you want to see a photo of Sheldon and Amy in a rather surprising place, you can do so over here.
