‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 22 preview: All about the ‘Bro Mitzvah’

Every time you wondered whether or not Barney Stinson could not become even more ridiculous than he already is, the popular “How I Met Your Mother” character finds a new way to one-up himself. Luckily for him, the event that we are writing about here is something that traditionally yields itself to being as completely and utterly ridiculous as possible: The bachelor party or, in this case, why don’t we just call it the “bro mitzvah” as Barney so desires?

The entire sneak peek below via CBS is basically Neil Patrick Harris finding a way to use the word “bro” as often as he possibly can, while describing just how important this event is to his life. We do know that this is going to be beyond ridiculous to watch play out. There will be drinking, Atlantic City, a few heartfelt conversations, and plenty of reasons to laugh. The writers for this show know that after eight years, fans want something epic here, so we know that they are not going to disappoint.

The saddest thing from this perspective is simply that there is so little of the season (which was very front-loaded for the fall) left. Only three episodes remain, and then we are in the home stretch to finally learning who is the mother. While we know the wait is frustrating for some, we’re personally rather happy to follow the journey wherever it takes us.
