NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Jessica Childress, Vedo battle to Bruno Mars
On Monday night’s new episode of “The Voice” season 4, the battle rounds are going to continue to try and blow the collective minds of most of America, and with that we have to talk about a performance featuring two people from Usher’s team.
On the surface, both Vedo and Jessica Childress really do have quite a bit to fight for. They are both strong singers, but neither managed to impress enough to get a ton of hype during the blind auditions. Usher has given them a song in Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven” that will really stress who they are as performers, and this really is a situation where it is about so much more than just the way you hit the notes.
So is there an early favorite here among the two? If we really had to throw our support behind someone, it would probably have to be Vedo, if for no other reason than that it seems to be a little bit more likely that Usher is going to pick him out of the two to advance. For one, he’s a very similar sort of singer, and there is probably more direct advice that he can give him. Regardless of who is declared the winner of this battle, though, one of the beautiful things about “The Voice” in a post-season 3 world is that Jessica, even if she loses, will have a chance to be stolen by one of the other coaches.
What do you think about this performance on “The Voice,” and who are you rooting for from the two singers? If you want to check out another preview for this episode featuring Midas Whale, you can do so by heading on over to the link here.
