‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: The new love interest mystery

Is Dexter Morgan really moving on when it comes to love? For the second time, a new promo released by Showtime certainly makes us believe that there is a new woman in his life other than Hannah McKay. What is a little bit more of a question right now, however, is just what sort of relationship this could be.

Is it a physical one only? Based on the fact that the only clip we’ve seen of this character right now is in this scene with Dexter in bed, it’s hard to say. However, we have a feeling that this is not going to be yet another Hannah McKay or Lumen Pierce situation, mostly because we really would have heard about it before now (or so we like to think).

There are two possible ways to look at where Dexter is going to go now when it comes to his romantic life. From one standpoint, it would certainly make sense for him to want to be completely untamed when it comes to who he hooks up with, if for no other reason than that it would feed into the sort of “no rules” lifestyle that Hannah at times brought out of him. However, we also could see him in the show’s final season looking to find a new Rita, a good woman who could be responsible for helping to raise Harrison, even if it meant hiding an enormous secret from her.
