‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: A new form of madness
Let’s start by getting the obvious “Grey’s Anatomy” news straight out of the way: sadly, there is one again no new episode of the ABC drama series airing on Thursday night. This means one more week without hopes of seeing shirtless male doctors running around, or people getting killed off in tragic circumstances.
Luckily, both this show and its Shonda Rhimes companion “Scandal” shall return to the air with new episodes airing next week, and we have a few details about one storyline coming up before the end of the season. According to E! News, the doctors at the newly-named Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital will be in trouble when they learn that a set of ventilators at the hospital suddenly stopped working … which is very much bad news. So what do they have to do now? Find a way to ensure that the patients survive by whatever means necessary, which may include getting some help from some of the patients’ friends and family members.
The hospital certainly is no stranger to bizarre medical emergencies at this point, especially since they’ve dealt with everything from explosions to shootings to most recently an issue of infection that has caused the Center for Disease Control to get involved. Dr. Miranda Bailey’s career is currently hanging in the balance, which is one of the major cliffhangers that the show left us with before going on its spring hiatus earlier this month. The other major stories are either relationship-based (Jackson / April, Jo / Alex), or have a little bit to do with children (Meredith’s pregnancy, Owen’s affection for Ethan).
Now, let’s take a minute to also address what many of you may be interested in hearing about: the finale! For more on this via Ellen Pompeo, be sure to visit the link here.
