TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 3 spoilers: Possibilities for Pamela, John Ross
On Monday night, “Dallas” season 2 is going to be coming to an end on TNT; but before that episode even airs, why not take a brief look forward to what could be the future of the franchise?
First things first, we have to address the fact that it is possible there may not even be a season 3 to talk about. The show’s ratings have fallen during the new year, the result of what we are personally blaming on some questionable network decisions. After all, Monday is an extremely-competitive night across the board, and to end a season against the likes of “The Voice,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Following,” and “Revolution” is a pretty risky thing to do.
Even with the decline in mind, some of the show’s stars are still keeping their hopes up. Here is what Julie Gonzalo had to say in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:
“I’m just being positive … To be honest with you, I would be shocked if we didn’t. At the end of the day, worse things have happened, so who knows, maybe we won’t come back, but I don’t see why not.”
Gonzalo said that she would also like to see one of the notable storylines regarding her character and John Ross (in their recent marriage) carry over to season 3, mostly because she likes working with the Ewing family. However, there’s no word on whether or not that will happen. As for another Pamela key to the story, we’ll find out during Monday’s episode whether or not she is still out there; this storyline has been complicated based on viewer admiration for Victoria Principal, even though she has expressed no interest publicly in returning.
Update: Now that we know just what John Ross did during the finale, it’s fair to say that this relationship is going to have plenty of conflict if the show continues.

I agree with you stephanie, THERE HAVE TO BE SEASON 3/4/5 AND MORE. I dislike all those reality shows as well. Dallas is the real thing with REAL/TALENTED actors. PLEASE, bring them all back. I saw them first when I was 30 (back in my country Belgium), and now that I am 60, I want them even more. Thank you TNT.
:-) – P.S. We will never forget you Larry (J.R.), you were the best. I actually went to South Fork Ranch back in the days and had the pleasure to meet the real J.R. along with his horse and car. I will never forget it. I also have pictures with my kids at the ranch.

How can they even think of not doing a season 3/4/5?? teehee i want more! If those crap reality shows can servive then how can Dallas not?? It’s great! People sit and watch a fat kid pick her nose and fart and the ratings go up, pathetic. But then a bunch of talented writers and producers put together a cast that truely entertains and they consider not renewing it. Ugh, please keep it going!

“Dallas” is the best show on TNT and the only reason I watch the network. A two-year extension to allow this group of characters to grow will show what a great show they have. As a viewer of the original series, this incarnation is well-written and well-produced. The veterans blend well with the new generation. TV at its best.

I grew up with the original Dallas. When the show ended the first time around I was sad because for sooooo many years this was the show to watch. Now that I’m grown up I’m very excited to share it with my own kids. I know that most fans of the show thought of Dallas as a JR show, and that now that he is gone many think the show won’t make it. If we think about real life we lose people everyday and still we have to move on and make the best out of it. It’s the same case here, even thou he is gone, new things will develop and many WILL TRY TO RISE TO POWER. Believe me many things work like that in real life, people waiting for others to die in order to inherit. So like “QUEEN” would say “SHOW MUST GO ON” for all the new generations to enjoy and the old ones to relive.

PLEASE…..DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT CANCELING DALLAS, GIVE IT A SEASON TO SEE IF IT CAN MAKE IT WITHOUT J.R.. I’M BETTING THAT IT WILL. KEEP AS MANY OF THE ORIGINAL CAST COMING BACK, THE NEW SHOW EVEN WITHOUT J.R. CAN MAKE IT ON IT’S OWN.

I am a die hard fan of Dallas!!!!! I was so excited when I heard the show was coming back. It is just as good if not better than the original TV series. I loved Larry Hagman and I am so sorry he is no longer with us. He will be missed. It would be a shame to cancel the series. There is so much potential for season 3, I am looking forward to watching Season 3.
