‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 21 preview: Lily’s Rome paranoia

After long suffering with a career as a teacher that she was not particularly happy with, Lily is finally going to get an opportunity to move into a field that she really enjoys on Monday night’s “How I Met Your Mother” season 8 episode: an art dealer in one of the most historic cities in the world! Unfortunately, there are problems that are making her more than a little bit anxious about taking the gig. Namely, she’s worried about just what is going to happen to her family in what is a new and mysterious place.

What if the Captain fires her? This is the biggest question of all, since we assume that Marshall would have to go on leave from his job if he and Marvin were to join her out there. The video below details what some of her worst fears are, which apparently include Marshall riding around on a scooter and kissing some random Italian woman. It’s a strange sneak peek, but also a very fun one to watch.

At the end of the day, we have a hard time imagining Marshall and Lily really moving away forever, if for no other reason than that the show is going to continue for another season, and can you really imagine Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan’s characters being away from everyone else forever? This would cause the entire cast to be very fractured, and that can’t be a good thing.
