‘Big Brother Canada’ live feed spoilers: Emmett continues to surprise

Going into “Big Brother Canada,” we didn’t really have high hopes for Emmett. He felt in some ways like a country bumpkin who didn’t really know anything about the show, and was going to get in over his head and manipulated by some of the other people around him in the house. However, he’s instead really turned into the house’s best manipulator, and while he has had some low points (being in danger the first week, getting disqualified as Head of Household), he may be in the best position now out of anyone to win the game.

First of all, he’s actually found an ally in Jillian who is better for him than anyone else in the Quattro alliance. She’s not really thinking as selfishly as the guys from the Shield, and seems invested in getting both of them further in the game. Case in point: the two coming up with a strategy so that if Peter wins the next Head of Household, he goes after Topaz more so than either of them. Do we think that this is going to work? Probably not, but it’s important in this game to think a little bit into the future.

The other thing that Emmett has going for him right now is that he really hasn’t been as competitive in all of the challenges. While he’s clearly shown that he can win them, Jillian has been more dominant than him when it comes to the endurance side of things. He’s in a position now where he can compete in the double-eviction Head of Household, and if he can get rid of Peter, we’re not sure that anyone else left in the game will be capable of stopping him. (We don’t know if Andrew and Talla are savvy enough to realize that bringing in a third person is better than working with “Jemmett.”)

While he has been shrewd and at times cutthroat, Emmett’s done every move with such a demeanor that we really expect that if he makes it to the final two, he will win this game.  Sadly, there’s nothing else really happening in the house right now, save for just idol chatter that is not game-related.  If you want to read some more news that goes beyond the first eviction Thursday, be sure to check out the story over at the link here.
