‘Supernatural’ season 8: See Misha Collins’ Shorty Award acceptance speech
The “Supernatural” family has to be feeling pretty excited right about now; after all, one of your favorite actors just walked away with a Shorty Award thanks to your support! Misha Collins was nominated for the social media-based honor alongside the likes of Ian Somerhalder and Kevin Jonas, so the competition was steep, even when it comes to there being another actor from the list.
There was another “Supernatural” connection to the awards show itself in that Felicia Day (otherwise known as Charlie on the show) was the Shorty Awards host, and while Misha was not able to be at the ceremony thanks to his shooting commitments, he did submit a pretty funny acceptance speech via video. We don’t want to spoil it for any of you haven’t heard about it yet, let’s just say that this is the sort of thing that only Misha could really pull off.
If you love the actor, don’t fret: he is still going to be turning up on “Supernatural” before the end of season 8, and we presume that there will be some sort of storyline established in order to help make us understand just where the character will be heading for the upcoming ninth season. After all, his series regular status for it all but ensures that we will be seeing much more of Castiel than we did this time around, where he was just scattered through a number of episodes and disappeared for long stretches of time.
What do you think about Collins’ speech: was it everything that you thought it would be? If you want to read some more news on the upcoming “Supernatural” finale, all you have to do is head on over to the link here.
