‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Who is making a much-needed return?

“Grey’s Anatomy” season 9 has been an emotional one, but then again, how could you expect anything different from the show at this point? The latest person to go through a major crisis is none other than Chandra Wilson’s Dr. Bailey, who is now at the center of a CDC investigation that could cost her a job at the newly-named Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital.

First of all, the sad news is that we’re not going to be seeing any more of the show until past the middle of this month. However, when the show does pick back up, TV Guide reports that Bailey will be getting some extra support courtesy of Ben, who has been spending some time working in Los Angeles. (In reality Jason George has been hard at work on the ABC series “Mistresses,” which has kept his schedule pretty jam-packed to the point where too many appearances here are impossible.)

We don’t ultimately know how this story is going to come to a close for Dr. Bailey, but we imagine it being a tricky one to navigate. When you have the government involved, it may not be up to your friends anymore to really determine whether or not they have the capacity to save you. Instead, they will just have to do everything in their power to protect her, and prove that she is a great doctor worthy of staying on the staff. The only thing that gives us hope is that there have been many occasions where a doctor’s future on the show has been in limbo, and they have found a way to stay at the very end.
