‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 8, episode 21 preview: Barney’s bar debate

Have you missed “How I Met Your Mother”? It’s been a couple of weeks since the CBS sitcom last graced the small screen thanks to the NCAA tournament, but the good news is that on Monday night, the comedy will finally be back for more in an intriguing episode entitled “Romeward Bound.”

We should start first of all with the first promo for the episode (which you can see below): Barney first tells Ted that he no longer sees the purpose of the bar, since he can do everything that he originally used the establishment for within the comfort of his own home. Then, he also still becomes obsessed over what a woman may be hiding under an enormous coat. We don’t really think that this is any sort of sign that Barney is thinking about doing anything to hurt his new fiancee; rather, it just seems to be the natural sort of sleazy curiosity that he has.

As for what is not in this promo, Lily will have a major decision to make during this half-hour: the Captain wants her to move to Rome for a year in order to pursue art in one of the most historic cities in all of the world, but she is going into it with quite a few reservations. Namely, she is worried about whether or not Marshall would resent her if she wants to take the trip, since he has a life and a career (not to mention Marvin) still in Manhattan.
