‘Big Brother Canada’ live feed spoilers: More Veto and replacement talk
Now that the Power of Veto Competition is over on “Big Brother Canada,” we’re at the next stage of the week: the new Head of Household debating as to who should serve as a replacement nominee. While it would seem on the surface as though this would be a pretty easy choice, there are a few other factors at play that are definitely complicating matters. (Warning: major spoilers ahead!)
As we wrote last night, Peter is the one who ultimately won the power to take himself off the block, and Jillian is now putting herself in a terrible position where she nominates Topaz as a replacement nominee, despite the fact that she promised not to do so during the Head of Household Competition when Topaz stepped down. She tried to have a conversation with Topaz about this very thing, but it should not come as too great of a surprise to anyone right now that Topaz was not really having any of it. Instead, she reminded Jillian of everything that she tried to do in order to win the Veto, and how this should really make her worthy of not being in danger for at least the foreseeable future.
So why is Jillian still contemplating putting her on the block? The simple answer here is that it is really all about making 100% certain that her target in Alec goes home. She’s worried that Topaz could try to mount something to keep him safe, and the people voting this week would be Emmett, Peter, Andrew, and Talla / Topaz. If Topaz votes to keep Alec, then Jillian just runs the risk of Andrew flipping and him staying in the house. If Talla is voting, however, it’s almost assured that one half of the Shield will be leaving the house at the end of the day. The only thing we’re left to wonder is if Peter, in an effort to make himself even safer moving forward, will vote to evict Alec rather than make a new potential enemy.
