‘Supernatural’ season 8 spoilers: More details on next Felicia Day appearance
When “Supernatural” comes back on the air on April 24, season 8 will find itself in an interesting place. The major negative here is simple in that after everything that happened last week with Bobby and Kevin both returning to the world of the show, we’re drifting back into something that can be best defined as “standalone territory.” On the flip side, you can at least say that the show is doing something pretty interesting here with a title (in “Pac-Man Fever”) along with a guest-starring appearance from a woman in Felicia Day who certainly has a pretty substantial audience behind her in the geek community. This is also her second appearance of the year following “LARP and the Real Girl.”
What some more details about the actual storyline for the episode? Just check out the official synopsis, which was just released by The CW, below:
“Concerned about the physical toll the second trial took on Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) benches his brother from hunting until he heals up. So, when geektastic hacker Charlie (guest star Felicia Day) stumbles upon a case and finds the boys, Dean decides it’s time to teach Charlie how to be a hunter-in-training. While happy to see ‘her highness,’ the boys suspect Charlie is hiding something; a secret that could get her killed.”
We’re happy to see that things are drifting a little bit more back to Charlie’s computer roots this time around, even though live-action role-playing was about as cool of a diversion as you are really going to find in this modern day and age. It’s possible that this may be the last standalone episode of the season given that there are only three more after it, so let’s just be happy it’s being used on such a cool premise.
