‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Gretchen Rossi, Vicki Gunvalson talk new season

Real HousewivesOn Monday night, season 8 of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” premiered on Bravo, and with a new year of course comes changes. Vicki Gunvalson has moved on from Brooks (as you saw in the first episode), there is a new housewife in Lydia McLaughlin, and we have all of the ladies trying to adjust to what are the next phases of their lives.

So what is some of what we can expect from the upcoming season in general terms? In a new interview with NBCUniversal Direct (which you can see below), all of the ladies save for Heather Dubrow are present and give a few thoughts. While Vicki talks about getting adjusted to life as a grandmother and getting more plastic surgery done, Gretchen Rossi talked briefly about the current state of her relationship with Slade Smiley:

“This season for me I have a lot going on with my personal life with Slade, and it’s all about next steps for Slade and I.”

Perhaps the most surprising part of this entire interview, at based on what we saw in the premiere, is that Vicki and Tamra Barney were able to be a few feet away from each other without starting up any major conflict. This was quite a combative episode for them, and we have no doubt that there is much more of it coming up in the near future. (Let’s just hope that McLaughlin is able to work her way into this complicated world without too much trouble.)
