‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 spoilers: Could we see more of Danai Gurira, Laurie Holden?

Danai GuriraWhile “The Walking Dead” finale on Sunday night may have not been one of the series’ most shocking episodes ever, it did do a very effective job when it comes to finding a way to close the door on Andrea and Milton’s stories in the present. With that in mind, though, are we really done seeing both of these characters?

When it comes to Milton, it’s probably safe to say we won’t hear much more about him. Dallas Roberts has signed on to the second season of CBS’ “Unforgettable,” and odds are that he is going to very busy for quite a while moving forward. Meanwhile, Laurie Holden said in a post-mortem interview that if she is asked to come back and provide some more flashbacks on her time with Michonne (something the fans all seem to be interested in seeing), she will definitely do so.

Ultimately, source writer and executive producer Robert Kirkman seems to be on the same page when it comes to the latter, as he told TVLine recently that there is “definitely some room to [further explore] the relationship between Michonne and Andrea … It’s always a possibility.” One of the dynamics about this show that is interesting / challenging is that you have two camps of fans in those who watch the show only and those who are also fans of the comic, and they each provide an interesting perspective on what they would like to see next. The show clearly has plenty of material even if they do not go in this direction, but the opportunity is definitely there if they so choose.
