‘Big Brother Canada’ live feeds down until Easter Sunday show

Big Brother CanadaBad news for some of you “Big Brother Canada” live feed fanatics: Slice has decided that in order to build up excitement for the episode airing on Easter Sunday, they are going to be taking away access for the entire weekend. Typically we don’t report on such outages, but when they are gone for as long as they are going to be in this situation, it is worth making it known now.

So why are the live feeds down for so long? There are a number of interesting theories floating around out there, but the truest one at the moment simply has to be that they are introducing a major twist into the game, and they want to keep it a surprise to build up ratings for the Sunday show. While they have ads on the same page as the feeds, that is much harder to monetize. Of course, we also wish that this show was not coming on against both the season finale of “The Walking Dead” and the premiere of “Game of Thrones.” What’s a writer to do?

As for what this twist is, we’ve heard all sorts of speculation ranging from it potentially being a fast forward to a double-HoH week to it being something to give the Canadian show a little bit more personality compared to America. Ultimately, we still don’t believe that this is necessarily something that this show had to do, primarily since there are already a ton of twists, and the show is rather good as is (even if the past week was pretty boring thanks to Suzette’s inevitable exit).

What do you think: are you going to miss the feeds, and is keeping them down a good or bad idea? If you want to read our review of Thursday night’s episode, you can do so over here.
