NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 4 preview: See Christian Porter, Judith Hill
Before “The Voice” season 4 premieres on NBC Monday night, we thought it best to give you an idea of a couple of the performers who are hoping to impress the likes of Usher, Shakira, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. While “American Idol” is by and large a show that focused primarily on undiscovered talent, this is a program that really highlights artists who have been working hard for years to make their dreams come true, and are really looking for just one more opportunity in order to take their careers to the next level.
Judith Hill – Does she look familiar to you? Judith received international attention back in 2009 for her performance of “Heal the World” at Michael Jackson’s funeral. She was meant to be a part of the “This Is It” tour before the legendary King of Pop’s death, so we have a feeling that she will have quite a story to tell should the choose to highlight this in a big way.
Christian Porter – We don’t know a lot about Christian right now, but he has a pretty fantastic voice. Not only that, but he has covered Adam’s band Maroon 5 in the past along with such other songs as Coldplay’s “Trouble” and John Maher’s “Belief.” His voice actually feels like it is one part Maher, and one part “American Idol” winner Kris Allen. Watch out: this guy could go very far in this competition.
While everyone knows that “American Idol” was the original talent competition, it really feels as though this is the year that “The Voice” could really overtake the show in every way. Some of the contestants on the Fox series this year are not particularly exciting, and we have a full range of great contestants here along with also coaches who seem to genuinely like each other.
Want more analysis about why we would always pick Blake Shelton if we were on “The Voice”? If so, be sure to check out our story over at the link here.

Judith Hill has every right to pursue her dreams.., like everyone else who is gifted.
Its not her fault that one of the greatest singers of the modern world (Michael Jackson) hired her to sing with him before he died….
Now after 4 years she deserves her moment.

If you read the rules, this show is and has always been about those unsigned artists regardless of background. They even say that in this article. Get over it – she is on the show and has every right to pursue her dreams.

It seems rediculous, that Judith Hill, who is a professional singer by all means, should be allowed to compete on The Voice. I really love the show but this really turned me off. It just isn’t fair to the other contestants.

she’s great
but she should not be on the voice
that’s unfair for all the other contestants

Judith hill should not be a voice contestant.. She has already been given the training and privileges that the others have not received and creates an unfair competition. I have been a fan of the competition from the beginning of the program.. But I am now strongly disappointed in the program.
