‘Arrow’s’ Stephen Amell joins Alexander Skarsgard in ’50 Shades of Grey’ rumor mill

What is it about TV stars constantly being the ones most discussed to be appearing in the “50 Shades of Grey” movie? Some of the big names that have floated around the past several months include Ian Somerhalder (“The Vampire Diaries”), Alexander Skarsgard (“True Blood”), and Matt Bomer (“White Collar”), but the latest one that is starting to get attention is “Arrow’s” Stephen Amell, who pretty much admitted to at least having a meeting for the Christian Grey part.

In a new post on Facebook (which you can see below), the actor did not really say much other than that he met about the part, and that there is still a “long,” but also not “short,” amount of time until producers get this project moving full-gear. We imagine that he’s either trying to be dirty here (get our minds out of the gutter!) based on the movie’s likely rating, or he is being intentionally vague to keep casting people from hunting him down and doing to him what Oliver Queen did to Deadshot earlier this season.

We’re not a movie site, so we’re not really keeping up with actors away from the TV world who are interested in this role. We just find it interesting that there are so many people from this medium being floated around based on the fact that shows have pretty rigid production schedules, and they often don’t allow for much time at all to really take on other projects save for the summer months.
