‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: Sarah Drew teases Jackson, April story

Have you been eagerly awaiting some more “Grey’s Anatomy” stories pertaining to both Jackson and April? If so, we have to say that you are definitely in luck. The April 4 installment is going to provide some new details when it comes to how the two are functioning now that their “relationship” of sorts is over, and she is dating someone new in the paramedic Matthew. Is going to go particularly well? Based on what Sarah Drew ended up telling TVLine recently, we’re not sure just how we are supposed to feel about it:

“[April] winds up working on a patient with Jackson, and he winds up being there for her in a way that she needs when she has a crisis of faith. But when she tries to talk to Matthew about it, he misinterprets what she’s talking about and leaves her even more confused than before!”

Is April going to figure all of this out by the time the season finale airs in May? We surely hope so, since otherwise we will be in for a long summer full of waiting as to whether or not these two characters, who we loved upon their first hookup during the board exam madness last year, are going to end up being together or not. Matthew may not be a bad character by any means, but we also don’t necessary think that someone showing up so late is a key part of the endgame.
