‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: What lies ahead for Kat Graham’s Bonnie

While we have seen countless stories surrounding the Elena / Damon storyline on “The Vampire Diaries” as of late, it may be fair to say that a certain character played by Kat Graham (in Bonnie Bennett) has ultimately become a little bit lost in the media shuffle. This is a real shame, especially when you consider just how important of a role she may have on the series moving forward.

So what does executive producer Julie Plec have to say about this character’s future? She tells Zap2It that the arrival of Silas means that there are many more dark things in store for the character, who has been manipulated and had her confidence tinkered with pretty much all season long:

“… We haven’t seen the height of intensity of Bonnie’s storyline yet. This Shane/Silas person has an enormous amount of control over Bonnie. Shane as a human, Professor Shane, with no supernatural abilities whatsoever, was able to get such a strong hold on Bonnie that she came to believe she couldn’t control her own magic without him. Now that you add a supernatural component to that, it becomes really extreme and really severe.”

So where does this story end for Bonnie? Hopefully, not in the same place that it did for Jeremy, Alaric, and Jenna. The past few seasons have ended in tragedy, and Graham’s character has to be one of the people in the most dangerous, just based on who she is working with alone.
