‘Game fo Thrones’ season 3 TV trailer: Go to ‘War’ with Emilia Clarke

To any shows out there wondering how to create an effective 30-second trailer for TV, just go and talk to the promo department over at HBO. This is how you craft a stellar bit of storytelling in a tiny amount of time!

This new look at “Game of Thrones” season 3 really has just about everything that a fan of this show could hope for in a short amount of time: action, looks at multiple characters, sweeping landscapes, and even narration that gives you a hint at just what is to come. As if this is any shock, Robb Stark and Joffrey Lannister are two characters whose lives are going to be in dire trouble moving forward, and we are also on the cusp of seeing a few other people find themselves in completely new circumstances. Could you picture Emilia Clarke’s Daenerys Targeryan back where she is now midway through season 1? We sure couldn’t. Meanwhile, isn’t it interesting to see Jon Snow slowly start to find himself as a character beyond just being a man shipped off to join the Night’s Watch.

There are just 15 days away to the start of the new season, and we further anticipate the promotional blitz being taken up a notch soon. This is one of HBO’s highest-rated franchises, and it is surely on of the most popular in between DVD sales, merchandising, and viewing on other platforms. With that in mind, they want to get as much bang for their buck as possible.
