‘Dancing with the Stars 16’: First photo of Sean Lowe, Peta Murgatroyd

We first told you last night that Sean Lowe was going to be a cast member on “Dancing with the Stars,” but for some sort of insane reason, the show did not take advantage of the “Bachelor” viewing audience to announce that he was going to be a part of season 16. Instead, the news was confirmed on “Good Morning America” Tuesday morning, along with the fact that he was going to be dancing with Peta Murgatroyd. (Peta later wrote on her Twitter that it was the “worst-kept secret ever.”)

You can see the first photo of the ballroom to the left, and it shows off perfectly Sean’s ability to include a rose in just about every photo of him that he possibly can. We’re surprised that he even has a shirt on, though Peta has also promised America that she’ll get to work on giving the public what they want, though this may be a little difficult in the first dance given that it is a foxtrot.

So why is Sean going through with this right now, so soon after his engagement to Catherine Giudici was made public? Ultimately, there are two simple reasons that we can think of.

1. Money – Why don’t you want to get paid for some of your hard work? Sean clearly has made quite a bit of money thanks to “The Bachelor” thus far, and this along with the upcoming televised wedding should keep him and his wife in a good financial position for many years to come.

2. Exposure – Sean’s a young entrepreneur in some ways, as he serves as a managing partner for furniture company The Factory Girl, among other things. The more promotion he can give to that and himself, the better it will be for his family in the long run.

As for whether or not Sean can dance, we have no idea; but this should be fun, and we certainly expect him to last a couple of weeks thanks to his fame alone.
