‘True Blood’ season 6 spoilers: The latest character scoop
We’ve spent a good bit of time recently talking about the surprising change of showrunners for “True Blood” season 6; so now that the buzz surrounding that is starting to simmer down a little, why not get back to actually sharing some scoop on what is coming up for the hit show itself?
According to a new report from SpoilerTV, the show is going back and shooting a new scene for the upcoming season premiere (which still does not have an airdate attached to it) featuring the character of Ms. Suzuki. She is described as a 40-year old businesswoman who makes some sort of deal with Louisiana Governor Burrell (who is one of the prominent new characters of the season). Based on the fact that this casting notice only marked for this to be a one-day role, it is probably okay to assume that this is not an altogether substantial part compared to some of the other roles that are coming up.
“True Blood” is in actuality around halfway through production on its upcoming episodes, and it is unclear just how much the shift in showrunners is really going to impact the footage already in the can. Ultimately, we don’t see it being too major of an issue considering that Brian Bucket was already a part of the staff as a writer and a co-producer, so he should be more than just a little bit familiar with the footage that is already in the can for the show.
Among the other important new characters for season 6 include a mysterious vampire, the Governor of Louisiana’s daughter, and a young activist who quickly finds herself in over her head. It was also revealed that the show is also casting a young vampire by the name of Wes, who could be a part of a love triangle.
