‘Glee’ season 4 spoilers: NeNe Leakes confirms return as Coach Roz

With “The New Normal” wrapping up filming for the spring (and possibly for the series, given its recent woeful ratings on NBC), NeNe Leakes looks to be heading back now to her first Ryan Murphy production that help to launch her as a star of scripted TV: “Glee.” That’s right: we are going to be seeing swimming coach Roz Washington back sooner rather than later.

So what is going to bring Roz back to the world of McKinley High? We know that she is still working there, and in some ways her absence is actually one of the biggest mysteries of the year. Last we saw of her, she was going to team up with Sue Sylvester in order to take down Principal Figgins. With that in mind, it was somewhat of a shock to see her so off the map.

To answer that aforementioned question, we turn to Leakes herself. However, she told Zap2It in a new interview that she really does not know much about what she will be up to just yet, even though she is very excited to see what it could be:

“I don’t know my story yet … I’m Coach Roz. Now what Coach Roz will be doing, I don’t know, but she is a dangerous girl. I love Coach Roz, honey. I am obsessed with her. I am so excited to be going to ‘Glee’!”

Leakes is one of two guest stars confirmed to be appearing on the show moving forward, as we know already that we are also going to be seeing “American Idol” runner-up Jessica Sanchez for an arc. The guest star count has actually been reduced ever since the appearances of Kate Hudson and Sarah Jessica Parker earlier this year, which is a little unusual for a show that was all about them earlier on in its run.
