TNT’s ‘Dallas’ season 2 spoilers: The prelude to J.R. Ewing’s funeral (video)

As we first teased last night, next week’s episode of “Dallas” is easily the biggest landmark episode ever since the show arrived on TNT last year. Why? J.R. Ewing actually has been shot this time, and part of this episode is going to revolve around putting the man to rest.

However, this is not going to be a funeral stuffed full of tears and emotional tributes. Rather, there is going to be drama, anger, intrigue, and also questions as to what Ewing was really trying to pull in the days leading up to his death. If you want to see what the words “J.R.’s Masterpiece” (which serves as the title for this episode) really mean, you don’t have to look any further than the video below. This shows a heated conversation, where it is revealed that J.R. was working on a very extensive plan that obviously seems to have gone awry in its closing minutes.

Moving forward on “Dallas,” the real question that is going to remain now is if someone is actually going to ruin the funeral as a whole, and just what is going to happen in the days and weeks that follow it. There are still a number of issues related to both business and family that will need to be addressed, and we expect the shooting to turn into a story that plays a part over the course of all of the episodes ahead. It should be action-packed, soapy, and full of twists and turns … and we expect that the late Larry Hagman would not have it any other way.
