‘Once Upon a Time’ season 2, episode 15 preview: Snow White was a little snot…
Who knew that Snow White had such a nasty side? We sure didn’t, but on Sunday night’s new “Once Upon a Time” season 2 episode, we have an opportunity to learn a few things about this character that certainly suggest that her kindness was ultimately something that was taught to her, and not something that was completely within her heart from birth.
As you can see in the flashback clip below, Snow, while still a princess, becomes irate when she sees the family servant Johanna (Lesley Nicol, famous for playing a different servant on “Downton Abbey”) trying out a tiara. She immediately starts to tear into her, but she is ultimately halted by her mother Queen Eva, who tries to preach kindness above all else. She also reminds her that the purpose of an upcoming party is not to celebrate her birthday, but to show the people of her kingdom that she is someone who they will love and appreciate, that way she will be a more capable ruler for them down the line.
As it turns out, Snow did not have the easy road to her happily ever after that her mother had hoped for, and we know that something happens during this episode that leads to Eva’s tragic death. Is Johanna in on it? That is what we wonder after watching this clip, as there is something off about the character in between this and the other one that is currently set in Storybrooke. After all, there is no possible villain out there less conspicuous than Mrs. Patmore; wouldn’t this be the perfect cast for one?
Are you surprised by Snow White’s snotty ways in this clip, and do you think it possible that Nicol’s character could actually have something to do with the tragedy? Be sure to share your theories below, and you can also visit the link here to see more from this episode.
